Desk Notes
A dated log of what changed on the desk: engine milestones, record methodology, and product surface. Short entries, no marketing. When the way we measure changes, it is written here and marked on the record itself.
Event token kept outside the desk
Sapere intends to issue the event-eligibility token required for its public entry. The token remains separate from subscriptions, research access, analyst decisions and the paper record. The engine blocks the approved name and ticker before launch, then adds the exact Solana mint when the signed result exposes it. Only the mint published on Sapere's official entry page is official.
Monitor cadence now follows measured runs
The public status page reads the engine directly. The repository's independent GitHub prober remains useful, but measured scheduling ranges from about one to four hours instead of five minutes. Sapere no longer presents its cron expression as a five-minute detection guarantee.
Two data sources retired, and the desk says which
The on-chain exchange-flow sensor is retired. It ran on a paid vendor through the calibration window and never once fed a trading decision: its committee leg stayed switched off for its entire life, and no part of the composite, the conviction synthesis or the sizing ever read it. Rather than keep a dormant integration warm, the ingest, the read paths and the dossier card are gone. A separate corporate-filings leg is switched off too — the regulator's endpoint answers our deploy host with a refusal while serving the identical request from other networks, so the leg was returning nothing. Both are named here because a source list that quietly drops entries is not a record. What remains is what the desk actually reads, and the methodology page states it.
A dark data source now tells someone
Both retirements above were found by hand. One leg had been returning nothing on every cycle for an unknown length of time, and the health check stayed green throughout, because a vendor returning nothing is not an unhealthy service. The desk now watches its own evidence coverage: each source is measured against its own history, so a leg that is naturally sparse stays quiet while one that has been reliable and stops raises an operator alert, once, with the recovery reported too. The rule deliberately does not key on errors — the leg that prompted this never raised one.
A radar for the wide market
The terminal gains /radar: a wide-market watch lane that diffs roughly 6,000 listed instruments per cycle across major venues for new listings and emerging tokens. Each candidate runs a deterministic verification ladder (exchange presence, volume mirroring, on-chain safety checks, liquidity) that is biased to reject, and survivors are scored into a small watchlist. Every card is labeled for what it is: not sized, not in the majors universe, with its unresolved audit flags shown. The radar never trades; watchlist tokens carry no capital and spawn no committee work until they graduate through the same calibration discipline as everything else. The surface is available from the analyst tier, and the API serves it at /v1/radar.
Crypto rails, and no token — ever, for now
The desk now accepts USDC, USDT and SOL natively: a self-custodial Solana Pay checkout that verifies your payment on-chain and activates a 30-day pass at the founding rate, renewable to keep the lock. No processor, card network, or custodian in the middle — the payment settles wallet-to-wallet and the transaction confirms on-chain. And to put the recurring question on the record: Sapere has no token and is not launching one. A trading-intelligence desk that issues a speculative asset invites every wrong question about its own integrity; our credibility is the graded record, not a token price. If that calculus ever changes, it will be a hold-to-access design announced here first — anything else claiming to be a Sapere token is a scam.
Seats, not characters
The desk now keeps outcome records for the units that actually decide: a seat is a (model × analytical brief) pair, and every graded call accrues to the seat that produced it — hit rate and captured move on the majors desk, Brier calibration on predictions. A designated-adversary pass now argues the strongest evidence-cited case against each directional consensus after positions open, and an equal-weight counterfactual consensus is recorded beside the live one. Committee analyst calls also run concurrently now, cutting session wall time roughly threefold so entries fill closer to the evidence. Weighting, selection and every published record are unchanged — the new ledgers are evidence for a future, measured change of the committee's internals.
The synthesis soak gets a dial
The attribution page now reads the conviction-synthesis shadow soak directly: how many sessions produced a blended conviction, the distribution of the size multiplier the blend would have applied, the outcome mix for every deliberated token, and how stale the frozen evidence was by decision time (near zero by construction since the bundle freeze). The committee-graded versus sized-to-book scorecard now renders beside the lane race. Session cadence is documented as an operator lever; nothing about how the desk trades changed.
Two ledgers, one scorecard
The statistics page now shows the majors record both ways: every graded committee call (including the ones the book declined, graded at their published levels net of estimated costs) beside the calls that were actually sized into the paper book. Exposure caps now trim a position to the room that remains instead of voiding the call outright; fills the caps trimmed are labeled on the session replay. Sizing decisions never change the graded record.
One evidence bundle per session
Committee sessions now freeze one evidence snapshot per token at session start, and the sizing gates read that same frozen evidence instead of a fresher recomputation the analysts never saw. Every deliberated token records an explicit outcome: sized to the book, merged into an open position, not sized (with the gate that declined it), watch, or pass.
On-chain flows on the dossier
Labeled exchange netflow and whale-transfer pulse ingest from a paid on-chain data vendor for BTC and ETH majors on a 12-hour poll. BTC/ETH use WBTC/WETH on Ethereum as proxies. Whale pulse is the top-50 sampled transfers per tick, not a full census. SOL is deferred until a compatible wrapped token is identified. The sensor accumulates its own calibration record; it does not yet feed the committee or composite until the experiment clocks read. Retired 2026-08-09 without ever having fed a decision — see the later note.
The desk shows its pulse
A public status page went live at /status: engine health, database checks and data-freshness ages, read uncached on every load. The same checks run as synthetic monitors every five minutes and page the operators on breach, and an independent external prober watches the engine from outside our infrastructure.
The API becomes a product
Public API reference live at /api with a curated OpenAPI spec. Keys carry per-tier rate limits, usage is metered, and the engine's internal surface is closed off; the public base URL is this origin. Key issuance by arrangement until accounts land.
Calls unfurl as cards
Every call permalink now serves a generated card: settled calls show the graded net P&L, open calls show the published levels and no unrealized number. Shared links carry the record with them.
Entry discipline under shadow evaluation
A stricter entry bar for prediction calls runs in shadow: every candidate is scored against it and the counterfactual outcome is graded either way. It gates nothing until the evidence reads. Replays against the archive shaped the design; the live-era ledger decides.
Calibration throughput raised
The desk's rules-only evaluation now runs around the clock alongside committee sessions, filling the calibration datasets faster at zero model cost. Same instruments, more readings, no change to how published calls are made.
Statistical honesty, everywhere
Every published rate now carries a Wilson 95% interval and expectancy carries a bootstrap interval. Prediction exits are managed before resolution where the book allows it, and a calibrated news and macro sensor joined the evidence stack.
The clean era begins
Entry integrity enforcement and net-of-costs grading went live: every call is graded at its published levels, net of modeled fees, funding and slippage. The boundary is marked on the record; earlier history remains visible under its own rules.
Keyed API and live alerts
The first keyed /v1 endpoints (record, calls, intelligence) went live, along with call permalinks and real-time signal alerts. The record became something you can subscribe to, not just read.
The method behind these entries is documented on the methodology page; the graded record they describe lives on the terminal and the API.
